With great sadness I discovered that for another year, δεν συμπεριλήφθηκαν στις λίστες εισαγωγής μαθητών με σοβαρές παθήσεις στα ΑΕΙ, people with autism υψηλής λειτουργικότητας Asperger. Mercy, I have nothing more and nothing less to say about the government's tolerance of this phenomenon.
Mercy, because as is well known, Panhellenic is a painful process for all students. Especially for people with autism it is something even more difficult, is something they can not shoulder. Something that can determine both their current mental state and the rest of their lives. Something that takes them out of their rhythms. Για παράδειγμα εγώ ως έχων Asperger, as long as I do not receive pressure or I am not "measured-threatened" by something, I can write a flawless report in 43 minutes. But if this is the case, I've been lucky enough not to be able to do it even inside 2 hours (along with panic attack).
A person with Asperger's, like me, can in no case memorize, να μιμηθεί και να συγκεντρωθεί με τις ώρες πάνω από ένα βιβλίο, without functioning any part of his brain beyond his memory. He wants more action, liveliness and means that interest him, because as we know "aspie" people can attribute to something, only if that really interests us.
Many believe that we, we "aspie" need the compassion and sorrow of all. Many people think that we, the people with autism, are weak, foolishly, negligible and so on. I do not know if Beethoven, Bill Gates, o Einstein, Mozart, Thomas Jefferson Darwin and means Hopkins, at an earlier age, were considered backward individuals, but then they proved how important their existence was and what abilities they possessed in the world.
We autistic people have our own code, we have our own dreams and we have very big goals that many will consider elusive. But we do not consider anything indifferent and we want to improve everything in our world and learn everything about it. We love philosophy, mathematics, the music (the classic obviously) and we hate the hassle, that is why we are different and that is why some marginalize us, like the government when on the list of serious diseases, did not include children with Asperger's.
summarizing, how in a stressful education system, it is possible for not only Aspergers to survive, but all students;
This is the reason why many people turn their backs on Greece! The country that "eats" its children, the system that does not allow any young person to emerge as defined by their abilities. This is why thousands of students pay generously for universities abroad, which I would like to do too but my financial ability does not allow it like thousands of other young people.
That's why it should be, Dear Mr. Mitsotakis, and Mrs. Kerameos, to immediately include people with Asperger's in the list of serious diseases. While the education system must finally evolve, so that it is attractive to all my classmates regardless of character. Because not only we are different but all of us and the school should become not a stack of bodies but a place that will train for life each one individually according to his abilities, enabling him to work with like-minded and different people.
So me, I fought. From the day I was diagnosed with Asperger's, at 6 December 2011, so far, I started as a child with no prospects. As a person who was doomed to live without ever being able to stand in society or communicate with anyone. As a person who sooner or later would go to special school and his life would be there forever. Over the years, primary school, in high school, in high school I succeeded and learned math, exhibition, ancient and I reached 18 to deal with dozens of things and have thousands of experiences, interests but also skills thanks to my family and the psychologists who watched me. Κατάφερνα να γίνω παραγωγικός για την κοινωνία και να με αγαπήσουν οι περισσότεροι συνανθρώποι μου, but also those Therefore, I will not tolerate anyone grading me without knowing how I work, how I think and how I do, the same should be done with all people who have Asperger's if not all students in the country.
So I call all those who have Asperger's, their parents and friends, to support my campaign and send a big message with our signatures to the government.
