Every citizen will have his own KEP box from today 3 November in which he will be able to enter and get the certificate he has requested.
The lockers, which are put into productive operation, are essentially a "digital mailbox" through which the citizen will communicate with the KEP. The boxes for each one will start with the reception of the following requests:
1. Copy of Birth Certificate,
2. Copy of marriage certificate,
3. Copy of Death Certificate,
4. Copy of Deed of cohabitation agreement.
Please note that applications will relate to registrations before 2013, not available electronically or events after 2013, for which citizens can not for any reason issue the relevant excerpts electronically, while the certificate of close relatives is to be added and there is a plan by the Ministry of Digital Government to be able to apply for more certificates.
As the Minister of Digital Government has emphasized, Kyriakos Pierrakakis gov.gr will be continuously enriched, as it is a "edifice" to which new things will be constantly added.
In order to upgrade the service of the citizen in his transactions with the State, the Deputy Minister of Digital Government Responsible for Simplification of Procedures, George Georgantas emphasizes that the goal of the ministry is the institution of KEP to move to the next day and to adapt to the digital age.
The process through gov.gr
The process is simple and will be done through gov.gr. The citizen who will apply for a certificate will have the opportunity to click on the "Boxes" option, where he will find the certificate he has requested and needed.
The process will be automated, as the competent employees of KEP have the application "Public Administration Codes" through which they will enter, using the new way of authentication implemented by GIS (General Secretariat of Information Systems of Public Administration) under the supervision of the Secretary General of Information Systems of Public Administration, Demosthenes Anagnostopoulos.
This is the new mechanism for issuing codes to civil servants for their access to those electronic public services for which they have authorization., in the performance of their official duties.
With this new mechanism, secure access to electronic services is provided by every employee in an easy and functional way, while strengthening the protection of personal data and the security of the systems.
