Three important issues among others, asked the Regional Governor of Western Macedonia Giorgos Kasapidis to the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments Nikos Papathanasis, in the meeting that took place during the latter's visit to the building of the Vice-region of Grevena.
The establishment of VI.PE. in a specific area on Egnatia street, the exploitation of the ski center of Vasilitsa with a partnership between the private and public sectors (PPP) and the settlement of the issue of compensation for the Hoteliers of the mountainous massif for the damages caused by the immigrants they hosted, were matters for which mr. Kasapidis requested the assistance of Mr. Papathanase, for the positive outcome of the efforts made by the Regional Authority for a long time.
Mr.. Papathanasis committed himself to the substantial assistance of the Ministry of Development for the establishment of VI.PE. in P.E.. Grevena, through a special amendment to the Ministry's draft law on VI.PE., which is already under consultation. Alongside, requested the formulation of the relevant proposal of the Region, which was already sent on the same day to the Minister's office by the Deputy Regional Governor Mr. Athanasios Folina.
On the topic of Skiing, committed to launch the Ministry of Development and Investments through the General Secretariat of Private Investments and PPPs and the General Secretary and. Oresti Kavalaki, the procedures required for a project – partnership with a private individual, for the upgrade and utilization of the Ski Lift. Also present at the meeting was Mr. Kavalakis with whom the Regional Governor agreed on the next steps to be taken in collaboration with the owner of the Ski Center, which is the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the competent Deputy Minister Mr. Lefteri Avgenaki.
End, Mr.. Kasapidis urgently raised the issue of the need to find a compromise solution between the State and the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum and the owners of the hotels in the mountainous massif of Pindos regarding the question of the compensations that the latter are entitled to for the significant damages suffered by their hotels during the hosting of immigrants in the previous three years. Mr.. Kasapidis pointed out to the Minister the importance of these issues for the local society and economy of Grevena, emphasizing at the same time the positive fact of the power of the increase by 10% on aid for investments in both Grevena and Kastoria, in addition to the percentages of the map of the Regional Aids applicable in these two Regional Units. This increase applies to all territorial plans, in the context of the implementation of the Just Development Transition Plan, which also includes Grevena.
Mr.. Papathanasis pledged to support the requests for the Grevena raised by the District Governor and they agreed to "run" the corresponding actions required as soon as possible. also, Mr.. Papathanasis agreed with Mr. Kasapidis for next visit to P.E. Grevena in a short time.
