Forcefully entered the 2023 the Municipality of Kastoria, with the project construction sector "running" at a leaping pace, after, after three years of preparation, the results are now tangible and the implementation of dozens of projects is a reality.
Among them the energy upgrade of the Kastoria Indoor Gymnasium and the asphalt paving of the city of Kastoria, the contracts signed by the Mayor of Kastoria, Yannis Korentsidis with the contractors, thus giving the "green light" to start work.
In more detail, with the Energy Upgrade project, the Kastoria Indoor Gym, having also completed its static restoration, will have a modern look, "saying goodbye" to the problems of the past, as the following works are foreseen:
a) shielding of the building shell with external thermal insulation
b) replacement of all the building's frames with new polychambers
c) complete replacement of the building's heating systems
e) replacement of all luminaires with new LED technology luminaires
f) restoration work
The second and very important project concerns asphalt pavements in the road network of the city of Kastoria, where it is a given that there are many problems.
«We understand that there are many problems in the road network of Kastoria and for this reason we claimed the specific funding from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, so that we are ready to proceed with asphalt paving alongside the natural gas and water works. This is also the reason why we did not go so long with the asphalt pavements which we know are more than necessary», explains the Deputy Mayor of Technical Services, Dinos Tsanousas.
Work includes scraping (milling) of existing worn asphalt carpet and construction of asphalt traffic layer.
"Our projects are now progressing at a fast pace and are starting one by one in order to be delivered as soon as possible to our Citizens, The effort and work done in previous years is now taking on "flesh and bones" and we are already seeing tangible results», the Mayor of Kastoria noted for his part, Giannis Korentsidis.
