The Greek government, in the context of limiting the spread of the coronavirus, assumes the cost of carrying out audits (rapid tests) in companies over 20 employees. The relevant program is implemented by the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs and Digital Governance, in collaboration with the National Agency for Public Health (EODY).
Employees of companies over 20 officials will be able to request a rapid coronavirus antigen test (rapid teat) until 2 times a month, through the special platform created and put into full operation.
The aim is to intensify the tests in companies where due to the number of employees, staff scheduling is caused and consequently the risk of transmission increases..
The measure follows other initiatives taken by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, such as compulsory telecommuting (where it can be provided), the special purpose permits and the intensification of the controls in the enterprises for the observance of the health protocols by the Labor Inspection Body (SEPE).
To participate in the audit program, necessary condition is that the employees fill in the "Free Test Application Form for COVID-19" by entering the Digital Portal of the State gov.gr and specifically at the address https://ergasia.testing.gov.gr/ by filling in their VAT number. It will be verified that they are employees in a company over 20 employees, through an interface with PS ERGANI. In case of successful verification of the employee's VAT number, the TIN of the Employer will be displayed automatically.
Subsequently, employees fill in the required fields (name-surname-mobile phone number) and then verified by sending a text message to the applicant's mobile phone. After the verification, the employee fills in the postal code of the area in relation to the control center that serves him and his age and proceeds to submit the request..
It is noted that the selection of employees will always be based on the available tests.
If the employee is selected for a free test for COVID-19, will receive on the cell phone stated in the message form (SMS) by day, time and address of the control center to which it should go.
On the day of the examination he must present the SMS to the medical staff in order to be examined as a matter of priority. It is necessary for the employee to know his AMKA upon arrival, as he will be asked to complete the necessary information. If it does not have AMKA, he will be asked for another identification number such as passport number etc..
The SMS is subject to a travel document on the day of the appointment. The examination is a reason for a justified absence from work for 3 hours.
It is noted that today more than 45.000 thousands of tests daily by the Public Health System and this number is sought to increase significantly. In total, the control centers amount to 386.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs invites all employees to participate in the program. It also recommends that employers inform and encourage their employees about this important effort that will help control the spread of coronavirus in the workplace and help experts to form a better picture of the epidemiological situation in the country..
In each case, It is recalled that for those employees employed in companies with less than 20 employees, there is the possibility of registration on the testing.gov.gr platform.
