The Deputy Regional Head of Green Transformation, Entrepreneurship and Transport, Efrosini Dio and the Vice-Regional Minister of Digital Transition & E-Government, Stergios Kianas, visited the Agricultural Cooperatives of Velvento, as well as the Vogiatzis Estate.
Specifically, the first visit was made to the facilities of the Agricultural Cooperative of Fruit and Vegetable Processing Velventos Kozani "ASEPOP VELVENTOU", an area 25 about acres. The Deputy Regional Governors, were guided to the expansion areas of the cooperative's facilities, which will practically enhance the ability to store even more of the products produced. Immediately after, visited the Agricultural Cooperative Producers Organization (Α.Σ.Ο.Π.) "Dimitra" by Velventos, which lists more than 130 member producers. The expansion activities of this cooperative will give another competitive advantage to the products produced in the region., as producers do not rest on the already high quality of their fresh fruit, but aim at their continuous improvement by modernizing their production.
The last visit, took place at the Vogiatzis winery, which is housed right next to Lake Polyphytou. The estate, extending over an area 100 acres, between mountain and lake, has a key position for its product, as well as between mountain and water volume, a favorable microclimate is created that contributes to the quality development of the crop.
