The decision of the government that Western Macedonia will be on the map of Regional aid and will receive greater aid with greater support to companies that will reach 70%, confirmed this morning 10/9/2021, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Nikos Papathanasis, responsible for Strategic Investments and PPP issues.
Alongside, announced that three Bills will be debated in Parliament in order to become a State Law and will concern the Fair Transition, the Development Law and the Investment Strategies.
During his visit to the Regional Governor of Western Macedonia George Kasapidis, the Minister of Development and Investment, met with the Mayors of the Energy Municipalities of the area, while the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Transport Michalis Papadopoulos and MPs of PE.. Kozani of New Democracy.
The government responds in a timely manner and in every possible way at its disposal, to every anxiety and concern of the citizens and the Local Government. Mr.. Papathanasis assured that in the new Development Law, have been provided with a special provision the projects that belong to the regime of the Fair Development Transition SDAM. also, explained the directions to be followed in the Law on Strategic Investments, concluding that there will be incentives in the area, so that the companies that will invest in the Region will be included with a lower amount.
The Development Law creates a special sectoral aid regime.
The investments that will come to the area, will be subject to the provisions of strategic investments, will be characterized as Fair Transition investments and will proceed immediately.
To achieve the goals of the Fair Development Plan, the Head of the Project Kostis Mousouroulis, pointed out that the elaboration of urban plans is one of the first priorities of the Fair Development Plan.
The Governor of Western Macedonia appeared satisfied with the three legislative initiatives of the Ministry of Development, establishing very favorable incentives and procedures for investments in Western Macedonia.
