The form for free citizens' coronavirus test has been in full operation for a week now.
Citizen participation is crucial, as it will enable experts to form a better picture of coronavirus transmission across the country, with the aim of early detection of dispersion.
The free COVID-19 control form (testing.gov.gr) was launched a week ago, with the aim of monitoring the spread of the coronavirus in the community and the assessment of the so-called "positivity index", through the monitoring of asymptomatic volunteers at random, and performing tests on 12.000 citizens every day.
In the first days of operation of the platform throughout the territory were submitted 25.786 applications. Based on these, more than 13.000 test until yesterday.
It is interesting that significant differences are recorded in the response of citizens across the territory. Specifically, in Attica were completed 12.942 application forms in Thessaloniki as well 3.361. On the contrary, in islands and areas of Northern Greece (such as, for example, in Kastoria and Grevena), the number of applications is much lower.
Why should anyone participate in testing.gov.gr
The government seeks the support of every citizen in this effort, in fact, when everyone is given the opportunity to take a test for free.
Citizen participation will help experts shape a better picture of coronavirus transmission across the country, with the aim of early detection of dispersion.
May help, Nevertheless, and to protect everyone personally with early diagnosis, but also in the protection of vulnerable people in our close environment, in case someone is diagnosed and is an asymptomatic carrier.
"Everyone's participation is valuable to us, for our neighbor, for our people, for the whole society ", note government sources.
