Three physicians, two anesthesiologists, four surgeons, four cardiologists, five orthopedic four urologists, two microbiologists, two nephrologists, two pulmonologists as well as gynecologists, in a set 30 and now private doctors have put themselves in the fight against the pandemic by offering their services to the NSS and the citizens of the region, as the President of the Medical Association Haris Tzevekidis stated while speaking to ERT Kozani.
In fact, the President of the Medical Association came in contact with the administration of a private clinic in the city of Kozani, in order to be staffed by private doctors offering extra 40 beds from 65 that supplies, for the treatment of citizens supporting the health system of the area and especially the Kozani Hospital that suffocates.
Besides, the specific proposal remains on the "table" for quite some time since the 3rd wave of the pandemic created problems in the NSS, with the increase of positive cases in the coronavirus and the difficult situation that the Kozani Hospital is experiencing in the last days.
In the meeting with the scientific council of the private clinic, of the medical association, the possibilities of conditional hospitalization were discussed, in accordance with the operating regulations and on the basis of the contract signed between the private clinics and the Greek state at a central level.
There is already an agreement between the clinic and the medical center of Kozani for the use of CT and MRI while the answer is expected from a second, so that it can respond to incidents where there is a need.
The possibilities of hospitalization of the clinic arise from the licenses that the clinic has for the treatment of non-covid cases. Besides, the clinic has a gynecological department and an artificial kidney, in which case they need to be protected from the virus in any case.
However, representatives of the Hospital also came in contact with the scientific staff of the clinic, A plan has been prepared and a response is expected for the way of cooperation and operation of the two health structures of the area.
Finally, it is worth noting that there was a telephone communication between the Deputy Minister of Health and the President of the Kozani Medical Association as there was no meeting during the recent visit of Mr.. Vassilis Kontozamanis.
In the meantime, their intention to inform students and teachers about how to use self tests, expressed by private doctors and a response is expected from the Director of Secondary Education of Kozani Prefecture.
