Everyone hopes for a coronavirus vaccine and research is underway around the world. Obviously this is the only way to regain a bit of regularity in the future.
Good news is coming from scientists at the Charité Hospital in Berlin and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DKNE). Their researchers found highly effective antibodies in the blood of people infected with the coronavirus.
"In the future, these could be used to protect people, so that they do not get sick from the virus and protect them from its consequences with the so-called passive vaccination ", said in an interview with the radio and television network RTL o Dr.. Jacob Krae, coordinator of the antibody research program.
Antibodies are used as a passive vaccine for other diseases. The advantage is that they have an immediate effect, but offer only temporary protection, because the body does not produce them the same, as with other vaccines, but come from outside to fight the coronavirus.
"If the promising results of the animal experiment are confirmed, The antibodies could then be tested in clinical trials in humans as early as next year. ", as stressed by Dr.. Jacob Kray on RTL.
