Clarifications on the time and manner of recognition of fictitious years of insurance are given in a circular of the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Panos Tsakloglou.
The circular states that from 18-7-2018 there is no longer any differentiation between the insured of e-EFKA as to the time of application for recognition of fictitious years of insurance and its consequences and, since, it is possible to establish or secure a pension right at a lower age limit by recognizing fictitious years of insurance, including military service time.
The instructions given through the circular come on the one hand in addition to recent and older instructions of the ministry to the insured, on the exercise of an established or guaranteed right to a pension even after 31 December 2021, and on the other hand in response to questions from e-EFKA regarding the possibility of recognizing military service time and establishing a pension right with retirement conditions of the previous year.
Specifically, for all the insured of e-EFKA the application for recognition of fictitious years of insurance can be submitted at any time, earlier or later in the year, whose conditions they wish to secure at the latest together with the application for retirement. The insurance period recognized by this application can be reduced to any previous year, to establish or secure the then valid retirement conditions. The above also applies to pending retirement applications.
Therefore, at the Ministry of Labor, e-EFKA policyholders who can use fictitious years of insurance to establish or secure the right to retire at a younger age are encouraged not to rush to apply for recognition or the application for retirement, but can submit these applications together, even after 31 December 2021.
The acquisition of fictitious, such as time for children, studies, the insurance gaps but also the military service of the men, is still a way out of retirement up to nine years earlier.
