According to study results from the Department of Nutrition, Exercise & University of Copenhagen Sports, in Denmark, meals based on plant protein sources, like beans and peas are more filling than,what those based on pork and beef.
This results in losing weight more easily, say researchers. As they found out, when the volunteers ate the pie with the beans or the peas, consumed in the next meals of the day against 12% fewer calories than,what when they ate the pie with the meat.
This finding suggests that “plant-based proteins, containing significantly more fiber, cause a more intense feeling of hunger satiety for more hours ", said lead researcher Dr. Anne Rabben, Prevention teacher & Obesity Treatment at University.
