All low-income retirees in the country will receive additional assistance 250 euro increased by 50 for each member of their family. This was announced on Monday from the floor of Parliament by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
But which retirees are affected by this benefit?;
The aid will be given to tackle energy and commodity price increases for vulnerable retirees.
- Retirees who have an annual individual taxable income of up to 7.200 euro (600 euros per month) and annual family taxable income up to 14.400 euro.
- The total taxable value of household real estate, may not exceed in its entirety the amount of 200.000 euro.
The aid will be paid at the end of December. It concerns approximately 800.000 retirees who meet the criteria. Cost: 205 million. euro.
