"Green light" for the arrival of natural gas in Western Macedonia
The work of DEDA for Kastoria, Maniacs, Argos Orestiko, Grevena joined the Operational Program of Western Macedonia - Other cities of the Region follow
In implementation path enters the design of the Public Enterprise of Gas Distribution Networks (HEDNO) for infrastructure development gas distribution in Region of western Macedonia, which is at the heart of the country's transition to a new energy era.
The play, which remained stagnant since 2017, joined the Operational Program "Western Macedonia 2014-2020", paving the way for the arrival of gas in Kastoria, their Maniacs, the Argos Orestiko and Grevena. It has a total budget 22, 86 million. euro and is financed by own funds and loans and by the NSRF 2014-2020.
The goal is construction work of the distribution network in the Region of Western Macedonia to start its summer 2021 with horizon integration its end 2023. Consumer connections of all categories will be made in parallel with the construction works (household, commercial, industrial), emphasizing the connection of public buildings, such as hospitals and health facilities, schools etc..
As part of the project will be constructed in total 153 network kilometers gas distribution and will take place at least 5.000 consumer connections of all categories.
If there is bigger demand from the local community, it will be fully covered and the number of connections will be multiples.
also, simultaneously with the above project, funding procedures are progressing rapidly and network development gas distribution in its city Florina. The network will be developed within the urban fabric to meet the energy needs of residents, while the industrial area of the city will be supplied with natural gas.
End, DEDA plans to develop natural gas distribution infrastructure in other areas of the Region of Western Macedonia.
