In the context of the contacts of the Management of TEE / TDM, President Sylliris Nikolaos and members of the Steering Committee (Kianas Stergios, member of DE – Pi. Chairman, Μπάγκαβου Ευαγγελία Αντιπρόεδρος) but also the President of NE Kastoria, Dimitrios Pappas , met on Tuesday 28/09/2021 at the Headquarters of the Kastoria Prefecture with the Deputy Regional Head of the Kastoria Prefecture, Mr. Savvopoulos Dimitrios.
The topics of the discussion were the information about the projects implemented by the Kastoria PE, the problems faced by the services in the completion of the projects, in combination with the possibility of the TEE / TDM contributing to the implementation of the actions as a technical consultant.
The President of the TEE / TDM asked to be informed about the timetable for the completion of the large project for the construction of the Kleisoura tunnel, for the understaffing of the services of PE Kastoria, for the projects that are in progress and for the developments around the issue of the degradation or not of the road at the entrance of the city of Kastoria, from national capitals to provincial capitals.
The Deputy Regional Governor, Mr. Savvopoulos, made an extensive report on all the projects currently being implemented by the Services and the difficulties they face in all phases of the projects, by design, until completion, due to lack of Certified Engineers, suitable specialties. He expressed, however, the hope that with the opportunities now given through development organizations, but also of MOD SA, who can hire staff with fixed-term contracts and the ability to sign, in combination with the reform of the ISD of the Kastoria PE, which will provide solutions to some chronic problems, that the problem of understaffing and service efficiency, will be addressed. Especially for the work of the tunnel of Kleisoura, stated that it is a work of breath, which creates development prospects in the region.
On the issue of road degradation, which is an important issue that concerns both society, as well as services and political leadership, The Deputy Regional Governor replied that a solution has not been found yet and that the ideal scenario would be to solve any urban and other problems that exist today, such as the problem with business inputs - outputs, without the need to demolish the road and in this matter he asked for the assistance of the TEE / TDM.
The President of NE Kastoria, Dimitrios Pappas, informed the Deputy Regional Governor that the Prefectural Committee has dealt extensively with the issue, has made a thorough analysis of all historical and urban data and has recorded what will apply in each case, whether the road remains a national highway, or demoted to a provincial capital, so that the decision-makers know all the data and of course that this recording is at the disposal of the Regional Authority.
A discussion followed, around the potential of financial instruments, for the projects of energy upgrades of public buildings and the President of the TEE / TDM, he repeated once more, its permanent position for the utilization of the Certified Engineers of the area both for the maturation and for the implementation of the projects.
