The decision of the government to open all schools in 11 January, as government spokesman Stelios Petsas announced on Saturday morning. For’ this reason after all, a severe one-week lockdown was also imposed, to prevent the spread of the virus as much as possible and to return students to the desks more safely.

According to reports, The opening of the schools will be done with strict rules, such as for example realization rapid test to high school students and – probably – of the Gymnasium, who tend to be more crowded. Based on what was announced, all levels of education will be opened: kindergartens, primary schools, Gymnasiums and Lyceums.
The measures that will take effect from the morning of January 11 in the school complexes, will be finalized tomorrow Monday 4 January, during the meeting of the Minister of Education Nikis Kerameos with the experts of the Ministry of Health and will be announced later, in order to prepare the premises accordingly, teachers and students.
It is noted that the government has already announced the conduct of targeted tests on older students, while it is possible to apply gradual attendance and departure of young students to avoid overcrowding between parents and guardians that children should go to or pick up from school.
