Citizens and public administration are relieved of a significant bureaucratic burden, as e-EFKA begins to utilize the interoperability for the automatic receipt of tax information for the payment of citizens and companies that provide services and products to it.
So, natural and legal persons stop providing tax information to be paid, as the process is done automatically.
The e-EFKA, largest insurance company in the country, gains access to the interconnection of public bodies with the information systems of the Independent Public Revenue Authority. Only in everything,as far as the specific body is concerned, in the last year over 10.000 tax updates were issued and submitted by taxpayers, either physically or electronically.
The interconnection is implemented through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems of the Ministry of Digital Government. At the same time, The utilization of the specific interoperability starts by ERGOSE SA, the General Hospital of Xanthi and the Municipality of Volos. The Greek Parliament was the first public body to utilize this service through the Interoperability Center. KEDE followed, so that tax information to the municipalities of the country is not required.
To date, membership applications have been submitted by more than 110 public bodies. At the moment, this interoperability is in pilot or production mode in more than 50% of institutions.
The General Secretariat of Information Systems of Public Administration of the Ministry of Digital Government invites all public bodies to utilize the interoperability service for tax information, in order to benefit thousands of individuals and legal entities, but also the actors themselves.
