The Municipality of Grevena acquired new "smart" bus stops with funding from the "FiloDimos II" Program.
Modern ecological technology stands as they are energy autonomous with the help of photovoltaic systems, provide night lighting, the possibility of charging smart devices, while soon they will provide a wireless Wi-Fi network as well as a telematics function, announcing the arrival time of urban and interurban transport through the existing electronic LED signs.
"With the aim of substantially improving the daily life of the citizens, adopting modern practices that radically upgrade the urban environment and public transport, the Municipal Authority of Grevena proceeded to install "smart" bus stops, making good use of all available financial tools in favor of citizens within the framework of the Strategy for Sustainable Urban Mobility", emphasizes the Deputy Mayor of Technical Works Christos Trigonis.
In total, have been installed 13 smart attitudes, budget € 50,000, including the following points: 2The Gymnasium-Lyceum, Headquarters, ΕΠΑΛ, Hospital, Workers' Housing, K. Taliadouri, Cemeteries but also the Community of Myrsini of the Municipal Unit of Grevena.
Closing, car owners are requested not to park in front of the stops, thus respected bus drivers and passengers.
