From the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Education, Of Sports and Social Welfare of the Municipality of Kastoria is announced that the collection of food and essential items for the fire-affected areas has started.
Indicatively, species are mentioned:
toasts, cookies, croissant, evaporated and infant milk, water, canned food, juices, animal feed, sanitary ware (toilet paper, antiseptics, soaps, cotton, diapers etc.) and pharmaceuticals (painkillers, burn ointments, powder), as well as clothing.
The collection of all items will be done in the new area of the Social Grocery of the Municipality of Kastoria, in the area of Chloe (workers' housing), from the 9 in the morning until 2 at noon, until Thursday 12 August.
The Deputy Mayor of Culture, Education, Sports and Social Welfare, K. Petros Dokopoulos, who has secured their transfer donation from a private distribution company, stressed that “what we are all doing at the moment is a first aid, as a minimum sign of support and solidarity to our fellow human beings who suffered the tragic destruction of the recent fires”.
