According to the coordinating director of the Clinical Plastic Surgery of "Papanikolaou" Hospital, Sofia Papadopoulou, his condition is considered extremely critical, as it has extensive and deep burns, has been exposed to an explosion and has received a large thermal load.
According to the director of the hospital of Grevena, Eftychia Kapatou, the condition of the 28-year-old injured is serious.
Thanasis Grigoriadis, representative of the wood processing industry company Alfa Wood, based in Larissa, told APE BPE that "only one worker was injured during the explosion that took place in the part of the factory where a biomass power plant operates", he added that "the causes that led to the accident are currently unknown".
According to the Fire Department, The explosion caused a fire in a basement where there were silicone lubricants, which, however, was dealt with immediately with the operation performed on the spot by nine men and four vehicles.
