ΕΦΚΑ: The platform for liquidation of health debts has been activated

Activated, for the first time, in e-EFKA the new electronic platform addressed to health providers with debts from the former social security institutions.

The service is accessed through the e-EFKA website (www.efka.gov.gr) or via the url : (https://apps.ika.gr/health/) using the taxis codes and the interested parties then enter the account number, the email address (email), as well as the amounts with the details of the documents already issued. For the completion of this stage, the interested parties have an exclusive deadline of two (2) months, in accordance with the relevant ministerial decision.

Upon successful submission of the application, the competent services of e-E.F.K.A.. carry out the legal checks and cross-checks of the data and post on the platform the amounts finally approved by the service. In the final stage the providers are asked to agree with the amounts that have been posted and their payment is underway..

The use of the new platform will significantly accelerate the liquidation time by solving a chronic problem that lacked valuable liquidity from providers and professionals in the field of health., according to Labor Minister Giannis Vroutsis.

It is noted that in January 2017 overdue debts to health care providers reached 223.081.155 euros and in July 2019, after 2,5 years, had just been cleared 11.536.268 euros and the total amount we inherited was 211.544.887 euro. Today, a year later, the balance of arrears to health care providers has been reduced by 109.065.345 euro. The effort to repay arrears of any kind is continuous and effective.
