Amount of height 40 million. euro is divided into 119 municipalities of the country, by decision of the Minister of Interior, Taki Theodorikakou.
This is the second installment of the emergency aid to the primary Local Government, to cover emergencies and emergencies caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to enhance their liquidity, due to the reduction of their income, as a result of the restrictive measures imposed.
The distribution to the specific municipalities was based on the data submitted by the municipalities themselves to the Interoperability Node of the Ministry of Interior, until 31 July 2020. A third installment is expected, based on the additional financial data that will be submitted by the municipalities to the Node.
The first dose of help, was tall 75 million. euros and was given in May, with horizontal distribution and in 332 municipalities of the country. Mr.. Theodorikakos, had then pledged to pay a second installment, based on the recording of the real burden on municipalities from the effects of restrictive measures on coronavirus.
