ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΑΝΟΙΓΜΑ ΣΧΟΛΕΙΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΤΗΝ ΑΥΤΟΔΙΑΓΝΩΣΗ
Opening of schools, but only of Lyceums, once again without any substantial protection against the coronavirus, throwing the "ball" again at students and teachers, charging them the individual responsibility of "self-diagnosis". This was recently announced by the government, inciting justified reactions in teachers, parents and students.
All those who have been claiming safety conditions for the operation of schools for ten months now, additional teachers and cleaning staff, finding spaces and infrastructure to dilute students in the classroom.
They demand the acceleration of vaccinations and the inclusion of teachers in them, the conduct of massive repeated tests by EODY staff in all schools, exhaustive traces where there are cases, to break the chain of transmission within the school and therefore to the families of teachers and students.
The government denies such measures, addressing the needs of Education, of the people and their children as costs. This is a conscious choice and not a "lack of plan", as the SYRIZA forces say, attributing "amateurism" to the government here as well, while it is a conscious gambling of students' health, parents and teachers, in the logic of “cost – benefits ".
The results have been visible since September, when at the beginning of the educational process without measures, cases in schools began to multiply rapidly. What the government was saying then; That "health protocols" for schools were a "shield of protection", that systematic monitoring and tracking of students was not necessary because "it does not get stuck in schools" and that parents' requests are exaggerated, students and teachers.
Just the fact that it now makes frequent checking of students to attend classes mandatory, shows how perforated the protocols he defended until recently were, with a "scientific" cloak, throwing mud on the just demands of the educational community. The outbreak of the disease proved it, which eventually led to the closure of schools last November.
Now the government is forcing students and teachers to check regularly to reopen schools, but it burdens them with the responsibility to do it themselves, overcoming the self-evident obligation of the state to take care of the prevention and tracing, especially for epidemiological recording and monitoring.
Self-diagnosis will exacerbate problems and will not solve them. And this is already evident from the questions that remain unanswered two days before the schools open: What will happen if the test is not done correctly, since students are neither doctors nor nurses; What if the results are not reliable; `If some people bring false statements to school;
While the children are sitting two – two on the desks, without distances and pickled in their ranks 25 and put students, the virus finds space to penetrate and spread. But it reaches the students from another way: From working parents, who are daily exposed to employer protocols and pickled public transport.
In each case, the situation in education, in the education and normal mental and social development of children is marginal. Any delay in the safe opening of Education is an educational and pedagogical crime, which burdens the state and the government, making it imperative to intensify the struggle for the opening of all schools, for all students, with all necessary protection measures, claimed by parents 'and teachers' associations and unions.
