Was held, on Monday 13 September 2021, the event of the small and medium enterprises department of NE of SYRIZA-PS Kozani, on the subject: Middle-class business: key factor in development and social cohesion.
Ioannis Sarakiotis spoke at the event (Member of Parliament for Fthiotida / An. Head of Development and Investment – Research and Innovation of SYRIZA-PS ) which referred to the two major problems facing small and medium-sized enterprises. During 1,5 year of the pandemic, SMEs have been hit hard. Lack of liquidity and debts, created during the pandemic without any responsibility of the entrepreneurs, are two of the biggest problems, which we will face in the next period of time, while to these is added the issue of increasing the prices of many goods.
The forthcoming increase in production costs is now visible, due to increases in goods such as electricity and gas. For all three of the above issues, ο ΣΥ.ΡΙΖ.Α. and its President Alexis Tsipras have submitted specific proposals, which will be updated on Saturday by the TIF.
Nikos Skorinis (Member of the political council of SYRIZA-PS / Head of the economy and development sector) stressed that there are two different logics. ND considers that a large part of small and medium enterprises are "zombies" and hinder growth and we consider that they are a growth factor and contribute to employment and the economy. In addition to 109 billion € that the Greeks owe to the public 87 they owe them 8000 VAT numbers which include and 5000 big companies, which shows that it is not small and medium-sized companies that create problems in public finances, but those who have only learned to take and not to give and they are not the small and medium ones. He also pointed out that the banks took from the ECB 35 billion with a negative interest rate, of which 10 the first to constitute the Credit Expansion of 10 twice were directed 5 billion in five business groups and less than 10% headed to 98% of the country's small and medium-sized enterprises and the market is still drying up from liquidity.
Kalliopi Vetta ( Member of Parliament for Kozani ) described in detail the problems of small and medium enterprises of PE. Kozani. The ND government said it is a big business government that aims to "liquidate" small and medium enterprises. In the region, de-ligation is creating an ominous situation as the best scenario of the government plans 1/3 of jobs lost.
The "present" was given by Costas Kyriakidis (Deputy Mayor / Deputy Mayor of Local Development of the Municipality of Kozani and former president of EBE) who expressed his anxiety for the future of businesses in our area.
An accurate picture of the situation of small and medium enterprises was given by Mr.. Ioannis Mitliagas ( President of EBE Kozani ) He also mentioned the financial tools needed to support small and medium-sized enterprises..
